History
| 2414 World was originally founded in 1996 by a group of Christian men and women from the Harrisonburg, Virginia area dedicated to strengthening Christian witness in Nepal and the surrounding nations through community development projects. The ministry’s name comes from Matthew 24:14 which says, “And this gospel of the Kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony (witness) to all nations, and then the end will come.” | In 2019, the Board of Directors elected a new Board based in Charlottesville, Virginia, which charted a new course for the organization. The mission was significantly broadened to support indigenous ministries establishing a vibrant gospel witness on every continent among the world’s least evangelized peoples through church planting, compassion ministry and community development. |
